Winter Sun

The game between the two dimensions of the copperplate and the three-dimensionality of the final sculpture fascinates me. It is an ever renewed source of inspiration for my work and artistic research. These sculptures are movement without thickness, games of turns, twist and shapes, of combinations and contrasts between materials, structures and colors from fire patina. Techniques from brassware and goldsmith are used for the execution of those pieces.

My stone sculptures develop in a dialogue with structure, veining and form of the material. So arise abstract forms of fluid lightness.
